Trail-tested
2018 Specialized Rockhopper in large — this is the 29er hardtail that Specialized was building before they got weird about pricing. It came in from a rider upgrading to full-suspension; the drivetrain had seen real miles but the frame and fork are in great shape with only trail rash on the chainstay. This is a proper mountain bike for someone who wants to hit Lemmon or Phoneline without spending full-retail money.
We replaced the rear derailleur (the old one had a bent hanger and a sticky jockey wheel), installed a new chain and cassette, bled the hydraulic brakes, and dialed in the SR Suntour fork — it holds air and moves freely. The wheels are straight and the tires have plenty of tread left. Ready to ride hard.
